The classic definition of Chambray is a cloth with a white weft and a coloured warp.
Our new shade is inspired more by the colour of summer skies and pale washed
denims than the dictionary.
This pale but bright and sunny blue is soft enough to complement champagnes and creams and sharp enough to hold its own with navy, black or white. For dowdy winter days Chambray is definitely a new colour to put in the mix. The cliché of the black-clad front row fashion editor is a little outmoded as they are all gushing about the wonder of all-year-round blue so why not wear it too?
Fashion tip: wear shirts under sweaters with the collar showing and the shirt tail revealed below the knit.
