A really cold glass of bubbly, sipped outdoors on a sunny day, is heaven. This started me thinking how lovely all the neutral shades are in Summer, whatever the weather or the venue.
I recently had a cup of tea and a fashionista chat with Winser London designer Jayne Cady. She was looking ravishing all in neutral shades of champagne cashmere, nude crepe trousers and toning shawl. To copy her, I went out yesterday in the Audrey cashmere in silver grey, with matching chinos, white skate shoes and pearls. I received more compliments than I have had for ages. I have been skimming through the collection from Winser London and if you follow up the colours: champagne, nude, grey marl, pearl, ivory - you could build the most divine Summer collection of toning shades. This is a definite moment for matchy-matchy.
The Milano jacket, coat and skirt are all in nude, as are my favourite trousers. Capri trousers are in stone and the pure cashmere blends are in champagne and grey marl. The hoody in silk and cashmere blend is selling out fast, and is a winner blending sports-wear with quality fabrics. The Audrey collection is in champagne and grey, -top it all off with the ivory poncho for a cool evening. Work this colour palette for the chicest Spring/Summer/Autumn fashion collection.
