Now, I have got nothing against figure hugging dresses. There is always a place for that sexy power shape. But for summer let’s have some softer options. The hourglass silhouette is as feminine and sexy or more so than the close fitted look. A flirty skirt with either a little fullness or a dramatic swirl will really create a whole new look and one that is a showstopper. Trousers can be wide, or not, it is more about the fabric that is soft, even slippery. My absolute favourites are the two pull on tapered leg styles, the summer special is in a graphic stripe. The other, plain but in 3 colours. Of the slouchy styles, the wide leg silk (cream, yum luxurious) and the wide leg satin backed crepe fabric pants are up there with the fabbiest. Dressing for a more evening look; the rose jersey dress is in two lengths, knee length and maxi. And there is the flared jersey dress with a v-neck that is easy to wear and flattering, natch. Bare legs or sheer neutral tights is best, as for shoes, its really up to you, I love a ballet flat with the longer skirt but heels work just as well. My only suggestion is keep the shoes simple - it is probably not a look that goes with the current gladiator concoctions. All these looks have a hint of fashions worn by the great Hollywood style icons so enjoy an hour on Pinterest checking out stills from your favourite old movies.
