At 24 Cressida Bonas dresses exactly as she should, a real blue print for a 20 something girl. We don’t yet know for certain if wedding bells are imminent for her and Prince Harry, but we do know a rising fashion star when we see one. I first noticed her fashion sense at the wedding of her friends Thomas van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy in 2013. She was wearing a glamorous blue sequin jacket, from the high street, perfect for the church. The way she wore it over a flowing maxi dress it will have looked wonderful at the party afterwards.
Left to her own devices her look is relaxed. At Glastonbury 2013, Cressida wore slouchy dungarees, classic Nike hi-tops and an eighties hair scrunchie, her style was fun and young. Then pitched her outfit perfectly for a day at the rugby, a charity event at Twickenham. Skinny jeans, a casual sweatshirt and shirt combo and a cosy coat.
When the occasion demands it she looks impeccable, but still more Boho than her friend Princess Eugenie. She is much more of a trendsetter than many of her friends. She occasionally wears a fitted curvaceous dress, but instead of going the Beyonce route, too tight too short, the dresses she chooses often have long sleeves and almost skim her knees.
She is a beautiful girl with a laid back fashion style, cool, if you like, who is wise enough to know that she does not need to prove her sexiness by going out half undressed. Good luck to her and Prince Harry.
