The 44 year old daughter of Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola is also a film director in her own right and directed Lost in Translation. She is married with two daughters and lives in Paris. Of her fashion style she says, “my memoir will be called “Does This Come in Navy”. Petite, dark haired and simply dressed she is as quietly spoken as her style suggests. Her method in all things is considered and gentle and, though never shouty on film sets, this has not held her back or made her invisible. The pared-down style she favours does not exclude a great interest in fashion; whilst still at school she interned for Chanel and thought she might become a fashion editor inspired by Diana Vreeland. She says she doesn’t think a lot about her style but at the same time is a permanent member of the Vanity Fair Fashion Hall of Fame. When she works she says she wears men’s shirts and jeans but she also enjoys wearing designer frocks for big occasions. A big fan of monochrome, she is mostly seen in cream, black, navy and white. She has a new film currently on release but is also very involved with a handbag collaboration with Louis Vuitton. She is a close friend of Marc Jacobs and she started working with Vuitton when he was Style Director. Coppola has also directed advertisements for Dior and Gap, and of course her film Marie Antoinette was a fashion fest.
