It has taken a few seasons for this to really ‘take’ but during fashion week in London in September the streets were awash with editors working the look. Fashion editors tell us that the short skirt and high heels have had their day, certainly ladies don’t want to look WAGish.
So its make way for the maxi skirt and the midi. Wearing it can be tricky, but we only have to make some small adjustments. Our Miracle Skirt is slim and sexy and falls just below the knee and I think works best with a wider loose top or sweater like the Audrey or the Boyfriend Cardigan. The Milano Wool Skirt also covers the knees, so has a longer lean look and is incredibly comfy.
The new A-line skirt in miracle fabric also falls just below the knee, it’s 70 centimetres so if you are 5’4 to 5’6 that’s a good midi length, the model in the picture is very tall! This is pretty with fine slim line sweaters tucked in or worn over the skirt.
For me the new Full Circle skirt with two pockets perfectly sums up the new midi silhouette. It has lots of length and pizzazz. Wear it with a neat top tucked into the skirt or a short cardigan (Parisien) or Milano Blazer. Straight plain long knee boots look great, as will as a flat shoe or heeled bootee.
