Apparently, women buy tops at a ratio of 6 to 1, so 6 tops to one of everything else. With this in mind, and I think it is true, I am making a list of 6 favourite tops from the Winser collection that would be great additions to any wardrobe right now. Straight forward shapes resulting in easy clothes which rely on luxurious fabrics and can be worn with all our existing trousers and skirts.

The Grace Shirt is a little darling, in cotton poplin in midnight or white. It wraps and ties at the waist.

The Jersey Tunic and the Tunic Top, in dark and pale colours, are perfect for when we move away from the thick winter sweaters but don’t want to just wear a t-shirt. These tunics can be difficult to find and it is worth building a collection.

I’m crazy about the Embroidered Lace Top, so do give it a look. The lace is actually soft and stretchy and its slightly flared sleeve shape gives it a twist. I’m thinking how incredibly useful it will be, teamed with white jeans for smart day or black trousers for a more glam look.

The Cashmere Blend Tunic Jumper in a blend of cashmere and silk with a woven silk back and simple v-neck.

The Silk Cashmere Blend Jumper a transitional piece that is warm enough for spring and summer but light and airy to fit the season. Both the colours are my beloved neutrals.

These tops epitomise great stand alone pieces or can be worn as smart underpinnings.
