COTTON HENLEY NECK TOP LONG LENGTH SILK TUNIC SHIRT WRAP WAIST JERSEY DRESS

White

White is a key colour trend for Summer 2014, particularly wearing white and white together. Give a power boost to a single colour by mixing your textures and layers when wearing head to toe white.

Light cottons with wool, silky fabrics with jersey, maybe a transparent with a solid. Try mixing weights too, heavy and light.
Looking at the photographs of Grace Kelly, while I was researching the piece about this month’s Style Icon, I was struck how no one wore white like Grace Kelly. From her white gloves to her silk jersey frocks, her love of white made her appear like a Goddess.

White

There are misconceptions about white, one is that it is too junior for the grown ups. Nonsense I say, what’s not to like about a crisp white blouse or buttery cashmere. Today even white shoes and handbags are right on trend. Some people don’t wear white at Ascot but I think it is chic, if it is creamy wools or with a melange of shades of. Today I even think one can wear shades of white and cream as a wedding guest. Obviously not a dressy frock to upstage the bride but a white or cream chic jacket or dress with perhaps some additional colour is perfect.

Say yes to the diversity of all the shades of white. Don’t try to match shades, enjoy the subtleties. Consider optic white to parchment and oyster and whites broken into softness with pigments of greys and creams and blues.
