Charity Work

We at Winser London may only be a young British brand, but we want to remember, not only must we protect our business for the future but, how important it is to give back to our communities too, big, and small, global and local.

Charitable work is a message close to Kim’s heart - Founder and CEO of Winser London, who has been involved in a number of charity initiatives throughout her career.

Women for Women International - The Gillian Anderson Lips collection.

A charity selected by Gillian Anderson for Winser London. Women for Women International invests where inequality is greatest by helping women who are forgotten — the women survivors of war and conflict. We are donating 20% of all net sales of Gillian's Lips Jumper and Lips Scarf (an intarsia design cashmere knit of Gillian's own lips) and have recently added a cotton Lips Bag to this charitable mini collection. So far, we have donated over GBP 26,000 to the Women for Women International sisterhood.

Winser London also proudly supports the #SheinspiresMe Car Boot Sale which yearly raises over £240,000 for Women for Women International.

Care Homes - Giving back to those who donate every day

Kim Winser wanted to thank some care home teams for their commitment and dedication throughout the pandemic. Winser London was launched from Buckinghamshire 7 years ago so it seemed appropriate to work with this council. We offered to donate 400 brand new outfits (all sizes and colours, including some scarves for the men) to a number of care homes in the county with a heartfelt thank you to the staff for their hard committed work over these challenging times. The council decided to run a fun competition to win these 'gift boxes', the image below is of one of the 8 winning homes opening the boxes with Kim. They were delighted! A special thank you to Alison Edmondson who suggested the competition.

Lady Penny Mountbatten presents Royal Portrait Artist Ralph Heimans

Ralph Heimans' large-scale portraits are renowned for their innovative compositions which offer engaging narratives about his subjects and their life stories. The technical approach he uses pays homage to the 17th Century masters of chiaroscuro, exploiting exquisite effects of light in order that they appear to illuminate the inner world of his subjects. Kim enthusiastically supports initiatives like the artist’s presentation hosted by Lady Penny Mountbatten at the Peninsula New York Hotel.

SmartWorks - Dress for a better future

Winser London has been working with SmartWorks, a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need. We are passionate in supporting women to feel their best and feel confident at a crucial moment in their lives, and to support the self-belief and talent required to succeed at interviews and transform their lives. It’s a pleasure to support women with clothes from our collection that boost their confidence and help them to achieve their goals, as well as to host in-store events where a percentage of sales made in the evening are given to the charity.

The Scottish film star Ewan McGregor is sticking his neck out for charity with Kim Winser

Kim and McGregor, the face of the Pringle knitwear company, launched an appeal aimed at encouraging people to buy special scarves.

All profits will go to the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (Chas). It operates the Rachel House hospice in Kinross for terminally ill children.

Fundraisers are building a second unit, Robin House, at Balloch in West Dunbartonshire.

"People have a preconceived idea that a hospice will be grim and awful, but the reality is very different"

Southall Black Sisters - Cheering up those seeking refuge

We were looking to support a charity that had made a significant impact on women's lives during lockdown and came across Southall Black Sisters who have been inundated with vulnerable ladies seeking refuge and support during 2021’s lockdown. We have been able to support the ladies with a donation of clothing from our collection.
