Charity Work

Latest Charitable update Autumn 2020.

During this year we have continued to support women through charitable donations and given the specific challenges of this year we have added two specific new partnerships, one working with a selection of care home staff and the second with supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse. Our latest support is as follows;

Care Homes

Our founder and CEO Kim Winser OBE wanted to thank some care home teams for their commitment and dedication throughout the pandemic. Winser London was launched from Buckinghamshire 7 years ago so it seemed appropriate to work with this council. We offered to donate 400 brand new outfits (all sizes and colours, including some scarves for the men) to a number of care homes in the county with a heartfelt thank you to the staff for their hard committed work over these challenging times. The council decided to run a fun competition to win these 'gift boxes', the image below is of one of the 8 winning homes opening the boxes with Kim. They were delighted! A special thank you to Alison Edmondson who suggested the competition.

Southall Black Sisters - We were looking to support a charity that had made a significant impact on women's lives during lockdown and came across Southall Black Sisters who have been inundated with vulnerable ladies seeking refuge and support during the recent lockdown. We have been able to support the ladies with a donation of clothing from our collection.

We also have continued to support women through two further charities, one UK based and an international one:

Winser London has been working with SmartWorks, a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need. We are passionate in supporting women to feel their best and feel confident at a crucial moment in their lives, and to support the self-belief and talent required to succeed at interview and transform their lives. It’s a pleasure to support women with clothes from our collection that boost their confidence and help them to achieve their goals, as well as to host in store events where a percentage of sales made in the evening are given to the charity.

Women for Women International

A charity selected by Gillian Anderson for Winser London. WWI helps women survivors of war rebuild their lives, many having experienced unimaginable atrocities. We have donated 20% of all net sales of Gillian's Lips Jumper (an intarsia design jumper of Gillian's own lips) and continue to do so. So far, we have donated GBP 14,000 to the Women for Women International sisterhood.
