HOW TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND AWAY
HOW TO
PACK FOR A WEEKEND AWAY THIS AUTUMN
Packing for a weekend away or a short holiday can be challenging. Our founder Kim Winser shares her words and wisdom to help you pack smartly. Perfect the art of packing with Kim’s top five tips for effortless travel style…

PACK LIGHT
Pack light, footwear is heavy so consider options you can wear with multiple looks. Keep shoes in dustbags to keep them separate, and pack them first at the bottom of your case so as not to crease your clothes. Chic trainers and flats are versatile choices; they are great to walk around and can easily be dressed up for dinner.

CHOOSE VERSATILE PIECES AND LAYER IN STYI
Pre-plan outfits and make sure you have choices around a theme depending on weather and activities you plan to do.

ADD COLOUDS INTO THE MIX
Consider base colours and then add the fun. I always start with neutral colours such as a neutral, white , black or navy before adding pops of colour or prints, it’s fun to experiment so on holiday, I love bright colour on colour, pink with red or orange, green and yellow.
CASHMERE WHEN TRAVELLING IS A MUST FOR ME
It is the lightest of fabrics and doesn’t crease, so perfect as well as elegant and stylish. I always pack for layering, light cottons, light cashmeres and only one or two bottoms. Dresses are great, they are generally light but choose ones that don't need serious ironing.
LEAVE IN GOOD TIME
I love relaxing at the airport lounge, moving from work mode into holiday mode, clearing last minute emails and maybe picking up a book or the latest issue of your favourite magazine!
QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
It’s a good theme to follow. Pack for style and comfort, if you’re wise you can mix’n’match separates so each outfit looks fresh, then add two or three dresses. Do remember shoes are heavy so good to limit your selection; silk, cotton and accessories are light.
