Spring Coats

This winter has been notable for not feeling like winter at all.  Yet, according to the medium and long-range forecast, it will be windy and chilly for the next few weeks. Time to keep up to the minute with our coats. The new range of coats offers some terrific pre-summer dressing ideas. The layering aspect, the way it can be worn over sweaters or dresses, the way it uplifts our spirits, all make it a must. Meet the indoor–outdoor coat selection. Coats that are light and soft and can be tossed over a shirt and trousers for a thoroughly smart, sleek look indoors and on spring days warm enough to be worn outside. Choosing a fresh colour is an ideal way to slip into spring. By keeping the styling simple and by concentrating on what colour fits your needs, these coats will take you to many different occasions and will sync with your fashion personality: city slicker or yummy mummy. Camel, mink and midnight are always stylish and these classic colours have had a big resurgence this year. The pretty pastels, pink, blue and the white/off-white are very tempting and put a completely different spin on each coat design. Hollywood red: dashing and positive, this is always a standout.

It is hard to choose, as the Winser London coats fit all the critical wardrobe criteria. Here they are:

New for spring is the edge to edge coat-cum-cardigan in Merino pure wool knit and its pure, simple, unadorned line can work any look. £175. Midnight blue, camel,
light blue.

Also, the latest introduction is the shorter and hooded coat, in a lovely cotton Milano stitch this is sporty and casual. £125.  Midnight, vintage rose, soft white.

A Yasmin Le Bon favourite is the crepe jersey A line coat, in a weighty luxury fabric and a smart style that looks equally good with pants. £250.  Black, red, ivory, camel, and now in vintage rose and French navy.

Winser tweed coat. A glamorous coat that has a matching dress. A good coat for the start of the spring-summer social calendar, with the first weddings coming up and Cheltenham Gold Cup week in March. £450. Midnight, red, dark grey
and now camel.

A favourite of mine, and ever popular, is the single-breasted wool Milano coat, perfect for changing its fashion personality with exciting colour options. It just looks a different coat in vintage rose for example. £250.  Black, midnight, mink, camel, vintage rose.

The Winser trench is a perfect investment, it rolls up for travel, is washable and is available in three different lengths and three colours. From £195 in black, midnight and beige.
