We were delighted when Gillian came to us and proposed the idea of a jumper which would raise money for a charity which she was supporting - Women for Women International, a charity that does incredible work helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives and choose their own futures.
The jumper features an iconic logo of Gillian’s lips rendered by the artist Julie Cain and is offered in three colour ways: orange, grey and midnight.
From the sale of this jumper, Winser London will be donating 20% of net sales proceeds to Women for Women International to fund their invaluable work.
When there is an outbreak of war or violence, women suffer most – they experience trauma, sexual violence and the death of loved ones. After the conflict is over, the world’s attention moves on, but women are left to rebuild their families and communities.
With every purchase of a jumper, our customers will be helping Women for Women International to support women who live in some of the world’s most dangerous places.
Women enrol on the charity’s year-long training programme, where they learn how to earn and save money, improve their family’s health and make their voices heard at home and in their community.
Since 1993, the charity has helped almost half a million marginalised women survivors of war and their work is still ongoing.
